The Kabat Database of Sequences of Proteins of Immunological Interest

Welcome to the Kabat Database Website

01 July 2008

Thank you for your interest in the Kabat Database of Sequences of Proteins of Immunological Interest.  The Kabat Database contains aligned immunoglobulin superfamily sequences collected over the course of 30 years. The Kabat Database is unique in that a majority of the immunoglobulin sequences in it were manually culled from the scientific literature, entered and aligned by hand, long before the advent of nearly all familiar genomic databases. The data sets were closed October 2003.
